The city’s Calligraphers Society mounted the expo in cooperation with the Iranian cultural Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Iranian Cultural Center in Mostar hosted the event, according to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
Featuring 24 Quranic calligraphy works by 7 Bosnian artists, it was received warmly by the city’s art lovers.
In an address to the closing ceremony, Iranian Cultural Attaché Mohammad Hossein Ansari highlighted the longstanding cultural ties between the two countries.
He described the holding of the expo and a calligraphy course at the center as efforts to promote the Quranic culture and art.

Munib Abradovic, a senior Bosnian calligrapher and instructor of the center’s calligraphy courses, also addressed the ceremony, hailing the organization of the expo and describing Iranian calligraphy as an outstanding version of Quranic art that has inspired Bosnian artists for centuries.
At the end of the ceremony, those taking the calligraphy course received certificates.
